To put it bluntly Rose Park is probably as close to Mexico as you can get in the Salt Lake Valley. There are a few rough characters, but I've met some genuinely nice and hard working people from that part of town. Most of the grocery stores in that area have a Police car in front of them at night if that says anything.

There are a few nicer areas, but not many. I wouldn't want to live there. I wouldn't feel safe leaving a grocery store at night.

Curious. Is there a reason you've settled on that area? Maybe as you say you're used to areas like that.

Haha, Yall are crazy. Jus Playin. I live in rosepark and im just as broke as the next guy livin there but its not da worst place in the world. ill probably die there and never move out cuz its where i was raised. so heres a few pointers. if the gangs bother you its probably something youre doing or a way you look that sets them off. because ive noticed they seem to be very judgemental. Oh and stay away from the bums on north temple there crazy. dont let your kids wander the streets at night people cant drive and dogs roam free allover. oh and the grocery store at night thing, ya not a good idea. Damn gang bangers. but other than that take advantage of living there it very diverse and cultural it has many different minority groups livin there and theyre open minded people so you can learn from them and they can learn from you
