My first and obvious suggestion would be to start out no later than 9am in the morning so that you will be traveling in decent light the whole way. I wouldn't want to make that trip with a rear wheel drive car or truck so hopefully that is NOT the case in your case. Front wheel or 4 wheel drive will get you through most anything you'll likely run into. The worst is just South of Beaver where it goes quickly up in elevation and that stretch can get real slick quickly if it is consistently snowing. Just take it easy and you should be fine. Once you're south of Cedar City a ways you're pretty much out of it with no worries.

I had to go to St. George last weekend and I was worried about the snow also. Coming back on Sat I ran into some snow around Beaver and it was not bad at all. Once I hit Provo it was steady until South Jordan. I went slow and it was fine.

I have to repeat the trip Sunday, I'll see you on the road!

Excellent advice from someone that obviously knows the 15 in that area. Visibility can be tough and after dark, watch out for the wildlife (Deer)....have a safe trip

GREAT point Irish4evr. I have gone that route early in the morning and right at daybreak had a huge buck jump right out onto I-15 in the other lane fortunately. They have no clue and you most certainly would NOT want to hit one of those. Your car would be toast. From mid morning on to at least mid afternoon there is fairly little risk, but you do still have to keep a watch out.

I have only been here since September and I have already seen 2 dead dear on the side of the road in the SL Valley. I guess I am not in the Big City anymore.
