If anyone has any suggestions for good Indian places in San Antonio. Indian grocery stores would be very helpful too. Thanks!

Mela's alright. There's a couple of Indian groceries on Evers between Wurzbach and I-10. There's another one at Fredericksburg & Wurzbach. All three seem about the same to me in terms of selection, though check the labels for expiration at the Fredericksburg one.

Kohinoor restaurant is delicious. It is at 410/starcrest behind the jack in the box.

I'm going to suggest India Oven on Patricia off West Ave. In my humble opinion, they have the best Indian in San Antonio. Good service and the prices are very fair. The Saag Paneer is the best I've ever tried.

I haven't tried many of the Indian restaurants in town, but I liked India Taj Palace at Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner Rd.

I was going to ask about this place. It's so close to me. Glad to read it's good.

unfortunately I'm the only one in my family that LOVES Indian food. So I don't get it often unless it's take out or lunch all alone.

Pasha on Wurzbach and I-10. There is also a grocery store behind it. Ali Baba. The area is heavily populated(for San Antonio) with Middle Eastern residents so they have the best resources in my opinion.

I have eaten at Pasha and their Persian food is pretty good and their prices very reasonable.

As for Ali Baba, it is one of the best stores in SA if you're looking for Middle Eastern groceries...they have Persian, Turkish, Indian, Arabic, et. al.

They also sell fresh Naan here and have Indian hair and skin products too.

The staff is very courteous and helpful.

There is a place behind Sun Harvest on Callaghan Rd. The Indian doctors at my work said that is most authentic. I was there few times and saw lots of native people eating there. I usually judge ethnic restaurants by that.

Hill... I agree with your opinion about AliBaba - great selection of international food, even Polish . And I really like their French goat cheese.
