No offense, but there's no Indian food on that menu.

I know plenty of Americans that like Applebee's, what makes your doctor an authority?

We have Sarovar in Austin also, and I like it too but not my favorite in this city.

Thanks.
Kohinoor is a Pakistani/Indian restaurant. The food is 100% zabihah hallal and always fresh (meaning all the dishes are cooked daily; never leftovers). It's a family-oriented and clean environment.

Our specialties are:
Tawa Fish
Tawa Chicken
Tawa Kabab
Tawa Shrimp
Chicken Boti
Beef Boti
Chicken Karahi
Goat Korma
Nihari
Biryani
Paratha

Note: Tawa and grilled dishes will take some time to prepare. This is why it is wise to call ahead.

One day when you are feeling adventurous, skip Babe's and head over to Simi's.......they've been there forever. I had the chicken tikka masala, and it was very nice. Their garlic naan was warm and fresh--very good. The rice is great, too. They may have some lunch specials.....dinner was reasonable, but not what you'd call cheap.

My vote is for Mela Indian Grill:

Mela Indian Bar & Grill: San Antonio's Restaurant for Traditional and Modern Indian Cuisine

I love to go for their lunch buffet and get a sampling of many different things on the menu.

There was a review in today's paper about a Pakistani BBQ place on Evers, I've never tried it before. It got a good review.

Oh, I didn't know that. Anyway I'll try to come up with a mini review if I do get to go.

India Taj Palace is SO good. It's a buffet, so you have a lot of choices. It's in Stone Oak behind The Village Gourmet and Subway. They have coupons on their website if you want to print them out and bring them with you.
