We are looking at possibly moving to SA.

Our #1 priority would be the best education for our child and which schools have the best Basketball teams.

I did some research....and it looked like Wagner had the best school for basketball....not sure about education or what the area is like to live in?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Wagner is in the Judson School District and opened in 2005. Texas School Performance Maps gave it a 2 on a scale of 10 in the most recent years posted there for academic performance. I'll let someone else reply with how it is to live there.

Madison has a good basketball program. It was rated 7 out of 10 academically at the same source.

I would like to welcome scubashawn68 to San Antonio. Hopefully you find the area that suits your needs.

Clark was highly ranked (surprise!) this past year. I'd pick Clark over Wagner just based on the school district. Say what you want about it, it's still an alright school. Although, Clark's good record last year may have been a fluke. Just like their occassional winnig football season.

I'd go with Reagan. It is a big hs, but has the academics / basketball combination. Obviously, recruiters love that.

There has a been a recent coaching change, but I'm sure the pool of athletes will keep them winning.

Welcome to SA, there are a lot of great schools in all districts. As a parent all I can say is be involved and help the school your child is in. Parents and schools working together = win win!

Thanks to all that have given constructive info. We have not moved there yet....I still have to get the job. We are just doing a little pre-research. BTW...I use to live in Corpus....and always wished we lived in SA...LOL
I would also like to ask people not to use my post as a place to rant and rave with each other. Moderator cut: orphaned

Thanks
