This weekend, construction will pretty much shut down IH 35 north at Cibolo Creek. Hours of delays...be prepared! Last time they did this it took hours and hours to get out of San Antonio

Earlier today 1604 westbound on the north and northwest sides of town (from around Stone Oak almost all the way over to Bandera Road) was the worst I've ever seen. We took 281 all the way out to Bulverde, then came down through Fair Oaks Ranch to avoid it all coming home...

And avoid 410 westbound near Broadway as well. They're working on the section of 410 between Broadway and Harry Wurzbach this weekend. I am super excited to see the end result on Monday, actually.

It's the 1st time that I see on I-35 that they use those signs for several days to tell people that there's going to be construction work by Cibolo creek.

Just based on that, I'm guessing that is going to be really bad.

Not only that, Nacogdoches Road under 410 is also supposed to be closed at the same time.

I think we actually will see the end result in about six months.

San Antonio road improvements are designed to take so long and slow traffic more than the original!

Why not just have one project at a time and get every construction crew in the area to go hell bent for leather rather than futzing around on separate ones. Then go to the next - except for emergencies.

Also, work during all available daylight and 24/7 with lights. I think construction is deliberately slow to max the money stream to those involved.

Specifically speaking about the 410 construction...they are working pretty much 24/7 on this project. It sounds like they may be doing construction on main lanes and finishing up the turn around lanes at the Naco. exit this weekend.

I cannot comment much about the 35 construction....but to think that that construction would go on all day...can you even think of the back up ALL day??

I've never seen more than 7 guys working at the same time on 410
The turnaround under Nacodgoches is 99% done, and it's been that way for weeks.

The turnarounds under 410 at Nacogdoches appear to be serving as construction staging areas, which is probably why they remain closed.

I was near the Broadway/410 intersection this morning. Close enough to be able to see that traffic on Broadway inside 410 was backed up.
