Figured we could use an individual thread for this. It started yesterday and the Mrs and Myself plan on trying several of these menus. Anyone check it out last night? Any feedback?

Default Grill at Leon Springs

Had to remind server we wanted the restaurant week special menu, which they finally found. OK overall-good value for the $35.
Anyone else remember when this building was the ORIGINAL Macaronis? We loved it then!!

Loved the original Macaronis. I was so sad when the didn't reopen after the flood! I took my mother out there one day and she got up and started looking from room to room. She grew up in that area and she realized it was the original Leon Springs Dancehall that she went to back in the 40's. That said, it looks like it now has a stucco finish on the outside instead of the white rock and I don't see the green shutters either. When you mentioned it I was thinking of trying it but I'd probably just get sad and miss the "honor system" wine

Envy your visit to Biga, we opted to make the Palm our downtown restauant week choice. Pre-dinner cocktails at Bohanans was the best part of the evening. Palm was meh, would go to Mortons or RC instead if I wanted a better (chain) steakhouse experience.
Starting to feel like an old guy here.....anyone remember Auden's original Restaurant Biga on Locust Street? Paesanos was next door, building is still there-I think it's a law office. Those were the days when you could almost count all the fine dining venues here on one hand.....La Lou, Chez Ardid....

Default Ruths Chris (airport)

Great food, great service. Filet, stuffed chicken, salmon are entree choices for RW. Nothing really has changed here since our last visit two years ago, and that's a good thing.

Hello,

Ate there once, never again. Blackened fish STILL tasted fishy. Wine list never offered. Poor service all around. Food C, Service D-

I was the Kitchen manager at Leon Springs Cafe back in its heyday (now Rudy's). We shared a wall back by the storeroom with Macaroni's. I still remember LOL'ing when someone dropped a dish, bowl, glass, etc...I could hear all way back to our freezer the loud clapping and cheering! Great times drinking with all of the Macaroni guys after their shift was over at the Leon Springs Cafe Bar (I so miss that place.)
