SSSHHHHHHH!!!!!! Keep it a secret. We don't really want to be overrun with tourists. Keep it to ourselves. Let them go to the Alamo and we (locals) can enjoy the rest of the river and the natural beauty of the area.

I love Government Canyon. The back country hike is awesome once you get past the darned rocky part of the old stage road. Lots of wildlife and there's a few protected old structures if you're into that kind of thing.
