We usually just buy pumpkins at the grocery store. But I kinda want to pick out of a pumpkin patch this year. Any pumpkin patches nearby? We live close to RAFB...

If you have little kids, this is a nice one to go to.
Is really small, they have lots of pumkins, games, hotdog, burgers, and a ride that goes around for kids.

i was about to suggest that one. i don't know what's available there, but it's a lit lot with halloween decor. i think it's something akin to a christmas tree lot.

We went out to Love Creek Orchards in Medina yesterday. Not only was it a beautiful drive out TX16, it was a blast at the Orchards. Games, petting zoo, puppet show, music show, and tons of various kinds of pumpkins. Our girls got to paint their own little pumpkins, and had a great time. It was still small-town feeling, which I loved.

If you get to go, I suggest going to Brick's for lunch in Bandera. Totally unassuming little joint behind the River Oaks Inn motel. The locals eat there so I knew it would probably be good--and it was just terrific. Amazing onion rings and the potato skins were TDF--actual LARGE potato skins as close to homemade as you can get. Hubby and I split the Chicken Fried Pork Loin, and it was incredible. Highly recommend--and they serve Tootie's pies too!

It was a great day!

Rainbow play systems is having a free pumpkin patch festival on the 23rd at 10 am. I've never been but I did go to their Easter festival and it was amazing.

The patch is now in full swing, complete with moon bounce type of stuff. Lots of activity going on yesterday (Monday).
