FASCINATING thread on where do the rich live in SA.... Got me wondering, what the rich-wealthy do with their children's education?

St. Luke's, TMI, St. Mary's Hall and Alamo Heights...I'm a graduate of St. Mary's Hall back when it was all girls. We had a boarding dept. back then and had lots of girls from wealthy SW ranching families (King ranch) and from Mexico/Latin America.

San Antonio Academy gets its share. Its an all boys school however. St George had quite a few well known well to do/wealthy familys.

Rockin' The TriCities

n/a posts
TMI (coed, military optional, 9-12), San Antonio Academy (boys only, military, K-8), Keystone, St. Mary's Hall (not a Catholic school, btw - it's Episcopalian), Incarnate Word (girls only 9-12), Judson Montessori, Alamo Heights, Central Catholic (boys only, 9-12), St Lukes Episcopal (K-8), St Peter Prince of the Apostles (K-8, apparently IMPOSSIBLE to get your child into if you live outside the parish).

I am seeing an increasing number of kids in AHISD who are heading to the magnet schools, though. I know a family with two kids at the international affairs magnet, and I've known several people whose children have switched from SMH or Keystone to go to the arts magnet school and to Health Careers.

I've known a quite a few kids who go to East Coast private schools......very pricey but their parents feel it's worth it and the kids do well. They tend to get the big picture.........

Easily TMI (6th-12th) or St Marys the two most expensive schools about 20-21K annually,
Keystone is much cheaper but academically the best by their standardized test scores however the campus is subpar and can't compare to TMI or St Mary's. Plus TMI and ST Marys have great sports programs.

Sorry, but can't really compare AHHS to TMI or St Mary's.
