I just finished playing the 2011 FBIAA National Charity Golf Tournament (http://www.fbisacaaa.org/events/gman-golf-shootout - broken link) here in San Antonio (a.k.a. the G-Man Golf Shootout) benefiting the spouses and children of deceased FBI Agents.

The event specifically supports the FBI Agents Association Memorial College Education Fund, established in 1985 to provide college scholarships for the spouses and children of fallen agents.

It was run by the FBI Agent’s Association (FBIAA) in partnership with the FBI San Antonio Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association (FBISACAAA), and is sponsored by many local businesses, to include HEB, SWBC, Bill Miller's BBQ and a host of others.

I just wanted to thank everyone involved, especially the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Golf Course for hosting the event. It was an excellent tournament, and a great time. Logistics for such a large group of participants could not have been an easy thing to plan and execute, but it went off smoothly. Our foursome did OK (a 64 on 18 holes, about 8 under par) but we were about mid-pack in the final standings. I don't know the exact total of the monies raised, but I am sure it was sufficient. We had beautiful weather, a wonderful course (any golfers out there have to give the Hyatt Regency Hill Country a try if you haven't already, it's a challenging course!), and a lot of fun! You can't beat that!

Cheers! M2

Just completed the 2012 G-Man Golf Shootout, it was another excellent event! Our team shot a 61 this year, a little bit of an improvement over 2011 and one of our foursome won the straightest drive contest!

I came about eight feet from winning a new Ford Mustang (had to get a hole-in-one on that that par 3 hole to win), the folks monitoring it said it was the closest anyone had come all day (but obviously not close enough! ).

All in all, it was a great day for a great cause!

Cheers! M2
