My 22 year old has gotten her first job and is moving to SA. What neighborhood should she rent in? Thx.

There are lots of questions that need to be answered to decide on where your child should live. Where will they be working? What types of things do they like to do? Will they be living with a roommate? What is there budget? Etc, etc, etc. Then we can help!

I urge her to reconsider. I'll send you a DM regarding San Antonio. Our experience was terrible there.

The job is just north of the airport. Doesn't know anyone so not likely to have a roommate. Will have budget for nice place, but no mansion. Loves NYC, so... plenty of people, music, fun. Thx again.

Check out the Alamo Heights or MahnckePark area. It should fit the bill.

SAC area, closer to Mulberry, between San Pedro and McCollough. I've seen some apartment type housing in that area.

The east side is not the only bad part of town.

These threads crack me up. Do people think that San Antonio is like 2,000 people or something? It's a city, people!

I agree with Alamo Heights and Mahncke Park - great, walkable neighborhoods, and a short commute to the airport area.
