Hey, we have an Orange Cup now! It's very exciting. It's in the new part at La Cantera. Between my husband shrieking like a teenaged girl at a Hannah Montana concert at the sight of a place with 130 beers on tap, and my newfound Orange Cup obsession, we might be spending more time at La Cantera than we'd normally spend outside 410.

Orange Julius is the original smoothie place. This is more like a healthy version of an ice cream parlor.

WOW! What a coincidence!! We tried it today for the first time. Oh. My. GOSH!!! I seriously couldn't imagine how "frozen yogurt" could be such a big deal. Living in Southern California during the whole craze of the late '80's (was that when it was???? ), all I could remember was sugary, almost gritty yogurt and gobs of crappy toppings. But this was sooooo yummy! The guy behind the counter (with the most amazing blue eyes, swoon!) gave us samples of all 4 flavors and of course we liked the "natural" the best. SOOOOOOO heavenly! It actually tasted like it might be kinda healthy! Not too sweet, almost like greek yogurt with a bit of agave syprup, but even better! Topped with fresh raspberries, it was delightful!

All I can say is, it's a good thing I don't work near there, or I'd be fat (er!) and broke!!!

You may also want to try Red Mango if you need to get your yogurt fix inside 410. They have had a location in the strip center across Basse from the Quarry (near Five Guys) for about a year. They are also opening a location near BJ's at 281 and Stone Oak. Try the mochi topping with blueberries!

Enjoy OrangeCup while you can. The owners of this franchise-based company are the same that operate Piccomolo franchises. No franchisee support whatsoever with them, anyway. Sink or swim, basically!
