I'm a parent of an autistic child. I recently made a "surprise" visit to the school and took pictures of scene (it was nothing sexual, but don't want to put too much information on here) that made me pull my child from school and hire an attorney. But, I want to expose the school/administration and just make others aware. Has anyone ever contacted the local news and did they do a story on your problem or situation? I have emailed a letter along with photos to our local stations and newspaper. Any other tips or help to getting this out in the media?

Since you have photos, it sounds like the kind of visual story that "Eyewitness Wants to Know," "The Defenders" or "The Troubleshooters" would be interested in at KENS, KSAT and WOAI respectively. I imagine whichever station you decide to go with would want an exclusive, so you'll probably get more interest if you contact just one of them.

Thanks, Bo! I could not think of the name of the segments for the news.

so, what led up to you showing up at the school, armed with a camera?

sounds like something parents might want to be made aware of. dont have to name schools, but a description of the events would be good.

Have you addressed the matter with NISD administrators? I think that should be your first course of action, unless you witnessed an illegal act at which point you should have contacted the police. I don't think the local media will get you any better resolution than going those routes...
