Sure...why not. Our church has many low income seniors who would love to live in that area.

I am opposed to this, the location in question is zoned commercial, and they are trying to get it re-zoned for apartments.

It's in a location very close to a busy intersection (Stone Oak and Knights Cross), and it is a steep downhill slope if you are coming from Promontory Point area and are going toward Stone Oak Parkway, so it would be difficult to stop for traffic that is leaving these proposed apartments.

Well people tend to care about their neighborhoods, so there you go.

I wasn't kidding with what I posted above, I drive down that hill every day. The thought of having to brake on a steep downhill slope to avoid traffic coming out of an apartment that is less than 50 yards from a major intersection strikes me as extremely dangerous.

Not to mention that it irks me that they are trying to get the property rezoned. It is surrounded by businesses, and so it is properly zoned as it is now, for commercial purposes. It bothers me that developers are trying to sneak in and push these changes through, when that property is already properly zoned.

Well, looks like Stone Oak will have to deal with people in motorized chairs flocking intersections soon!
Hey wait! Did someone just mention it's zoned commercial?? Moderator cut: Off-Topic
