What about an opinion is factual?

One thing about this city...if you go out looking for trouble you'll find it in a New York minute.

Nah, it is San Antonio related IMHO. I have been here going on three years and I have barely met one friend that I totally clicked with. This is a "mom" type friend whom I met through my son. Now, I do not work so it does make it hard to meet friends as it is easiest way to meet friends when moving.

However, I am very friendly and while I do meet a lot of random people around, it is very hard to get with people like I have never had any problem doing anywhere else, and trust me it is a lot of places. The worst part is my kids. In prior towns, big or small, this was never a problem. Here, my daughter who is 12 loves friends type things like hanging out and all but she just never struck it up like she did prior. She did but always some weird bizarre drama with these tweens would come up and not to insult little innocent kids, but I have never seen kids anywhere like here. Not to say we are perfect, no we are not. I am just stating it is very different here in San Antonio than other places we have been and who knows, maybe it is just our luck but whatever. For me it is no big deal I have been dealing my whole life with people interaction and I kinda like this break of not always having something to do with someone and just being a loner. I just feel most bad for my kids especially as we have no family here.

If it's San Antonio related then how come others don't have the same problem? I've had the opposite experience that you have had.

Plenty of other people have had the same problem and posted about it here. Of course, they were immediately criticized, told it was their fault and told they should probably move some place else. Hard to read all these complaints with the rose colored glasses on though...

No one is saying SA is perfect. It's funny that no one can identify a real problem, though. Anything specific? It's just "I join activities and no one will be my friend." OR "I can't believe my tween has tween problems in San Antonio. She didn't have tween problems when she was nine, when we lived elsewhere." SA is not for everyone, I admit it. This incessant whining is getting a little old, though.
