Every day I drive on the 281/410 overpass and see this interesting commercial jet aircraft sitting outside of a large orange hanger at the airport. It has a star on its rudder and the fuselage has Arabic(?) writing. What is this airplane doing here? Did another airliner buy or lease this plane and hasn't changed the logos yet?

The company used to be Dee Howard and is now owned by Singaporeans of which are many of their mechanics. They do very top notch world class work on airplane interiors too. They have very high profile clients. They worked on the Chinese presidential plane which ended in an international fiasco. Dee Howard himself was friends with the Bin Laden family.

As I recall back in the 70's and early 80's they were working on many Mid-East planes. Supposedly adding the gold fixtures and such. One big orange hangar on the west end of the field was owned/shared by Holt Machinery and the Osborn Oil Co. The Osborn's and Barrett family (possibly Biedenharns too) built their own huge hangar for their planes. Early 80's Consisted of a "Beachcraft King Air" , Navaho Chieftan and a Hughes 500 D Helicopter.

When I first met my husband, back in the very early 90's, he was working for a company called Aviart...

They had the contract for the Sultan of Brunei... I saw pictures of one of the planes they were working on... The interior of those planes, the gold faucets, gold sinks, gold light plates, the sheer expanse of it all, it was unreal...
