Im 21 and going to be moving to San Antonio soon from [mod]vulgar description[/mod] Youngstown, ohio. It's Detroit on a smaller scale. Theres not much to do here except go 2 bars or do something else that involves drinking. Anyway i was wondering what people do for fun in San Antonio, like clubs, you got the spurs, what else?

Mostly hanging out with people somewhere. At somebody's place, bar, coffee shop (those are lacking here - they close early). There are a few parks in my part of town to go out to also. Decent biking - I've seen better, but in most places it's much worse.

Do you like art? We have museums, the symphony (though I havent followed them for awhile), First Friday in Southtown, bars and clubs on the riverwalk, various pool halls throughout town. Can you be more descriptive? What kinds of things are you looking or interested in doing?

I'm 23. Of course there are bar's and clubs. We're really close to Austin and there's lots to do there. Yes, Spurs games are fun but really good seats can be pricey. We also have the Silver Stars, the Rampage(minor league hockey) and the Missions(Minor League Baseball). First Friday is cool. You can check out bands and musicians at places like the Limelight, White Rabbit, Sams Burger joint, and so many other bars all over the city. There are always festivals with live music like the fiesta events, margarita pour off, jazzsalive, etc. There are plays, musicals, and operas at UTSA and SAC all year, there is also the San Pedro playhouse, the San Antonio Lyric opera the Woodlawn theater and other companies and can't think of right now. Now that the holidays are approaching going downtown to see the lights is fun. If you're into sports you can join a team at the Ancira Sports Park, think they have co-ed baseball or softball and volleyball and probably soccer. Also the mission bike trails can be fun if you're into biking. In the summer you should look into getting a fiesta texas or sea world season pass, it's like $60 but you free admission all year. Also Shlitterbahn is a half hour drive or so away and that's really fun or you can go tubing at the Comal or Guadalupe river. Oh and San Marcos has the outlet malls, if you're a shopper like me that's really fun. There's lots to do, it just depends on what you like. I'm probably forgetting stuff too...

It's what you make it man. If all you can find to do in Ohio is drink, all you're going to do in San Antonio is drink.

Im from Ohio, and, he's right. Youngstown is the "moderators cut" of Ohio, and, that's about all there is to do

true that, when I first moved here. I was all scared to go out. mostly because me and my friend got shot at coming out of a party back in L.A., so I was mostly bitter because I remember the guys. I didnt do shoot to them and they did this. Later I found out that my friend was selling illegal "RX" on their territory.

but long story short, recentley I stumbled up on a night club (next to subway) on broadway and commerce, and people there got along, nice enviroment and everything, now I love San Antonio but still Austin is more fun.
