Anyone have any ideas what is going on? I initially thought it might be a medevac flight, but the helicopter has been flying a search orbit pattern for over an hour with the searchlight on. Police lights are visible from Ralph Fair road. It definitely isn't a UH-60 over Camp Bullis.

Rumors only, something going on in Village Green. People in the area have been told to stay inside and lock the doors. Rumors are that someone is barricaded in a house; possibly a psychiatric patient. Again, rumors from neighbors talking and calls to sheriff's departments getting vague answers.

Thanks for the input. Thought it looked more like that direction. Hope everyone is alright. As of 10pm, it looks like the helicopter has left station.

That is why I posted here. I checked the regular sites, respective Facebook pages, and Twitter feeds. Nothing.

Actually, while driving home in FOR, a friend was told by a cop in a police car to run into her house and lock the doors. Yes, run. Then she tried to call Fair Oaks PD, which rolled to Boerne who didn't tell her anything. Then she tried 2 different sheriffs non emergency numbers - they gave her no info. She was directly affected, as were all her neighbors, and all they were getting was the runaround.

Sometimes other people with whom she has no direct contact (like someone living in Village Green, rather than FOR) might have more info from the cops driving around in that neighborhood. Sometimes, (like with the wildfires) that info is then posted online. So yes, I come here and elsewhere online for info. Why is this a problem?

So did anyone find out what happened?

I looked on three major news sites and can't find anything!

I was out of town last night but my husband and young child were at home. We DO live in The Villiage Green and residents WERE told by law enforcement to stay inside and lock doors. There were police cars, ambulance and fire trucks in the neighborhood for hours last night.
Neither non - emergency numbers OR news stations were providing any detail and as of this morning no other details have been provided. We DO know police were armed and it WAS a dangerous situation for residents in the neighborhood.
As best as we know a man was barricaded in a house and was heavily armed and dangerous. The news reported that lasers were being pointed toward the police helicopter but no other details were provided.

It's a neighborhood that has many children and we as residents DID have ample reason to be concerned and no one was providing any information except bits and pieces from law enforce my as residents entered the neighborhood.

So for those who thought it wasn't a big deal on this bb, it was. The issue has been resolved as of this morning but few details have been provided.
