Hi wife and I are moving to the 78217 zip code. Wife is a nurse and I am a techie. is new Braunfels a good area to live in? Any one have any personal experiences with jobs (technology companies) & Nursing jobs, crime rates, schools, apartment recommendations & costs etc.

mm what area is 78217? i was thinking it was close to new braunfels lol i guess not. So which would you prefer better?

Plug 78217 into google. It's a middle class area of San Antonio, not flashy apartments are ok schools are average to above.

New Braunfels is a great community IMO. More laid back, and quieter lifestyle.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to actually be in San Antonio? If you must be in a separate city, windcrest would be a good choice. Close to hospitals and San Antonio's largest tech company rackspace is located there.

They are moving New Braunfels? Wow that sounds expensive. Where are they moving it to? Is anything going to replace it?

No I thinking moving an entire city is a bad idea

Thank you, you are right windcrest looks promising as well. isn't windcrest in san antonio?
