What new bldg(s) going in NW of The Rim? (Center: hotels, camp)

Does anyone know what is going in NW of The Rim Shopping Center at I-10W and 1604? The big fill and dozed site is between The Rim and the Foxworthy-Gal. lumber yard ...between The Rim and Camp Bullis Road.

I heard a Lifetime Fitness was going up at the rim. Its a pretty big complex so that may be it.

The Lifetime Fitness building is already up and I understand they are accepting memberships from a little trailer out front. Their new building is within The Rim perimeter and south of the site I am wondering about. Thanks.

I've heard that piece of land is where they're putting an upscale auto mall (as in, Lexus, BMW). If not that, then it could be a couple of hotels, since there's supposed to be 5 or 6 in all in that area.

that can't be it. She mentions between the rim and camp bullis. That would be north side of the development. I can't answer her question, though I may be (hopefully anyway) clarifying where she is talking about.

In all actuality - I think what she may be talking about is not even in "The Rim". I drove out that way tonight to visit my inlaws and there is some serious clearing on the east side of 10 north of the rim but just south of camp bullis. No clue whether she is talking about that or not - but there is enough clearing to spark my interest.

I used to keep several horses at a barn down Old Camp Bullis, so I am very familiar with that area. The piece of land the OP is talking about is an old farm that was on the market for a few years. It runs from the corner of Old Camp Bullis and 10 down the frontage a few hundred feet, then goes back until it backs up to the exercise field of the barn I boarded at. The frontage does not go all the way to the intersection with Camp Bullis Road.

There used to be a set of railroad tracks that ran all along the frontage there that were part of the transportation set up at the quarry that is now The Rim. Since they pulled up the decayed remains of the tracks, there is now magically frontage where there never was before.
