Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and will possibly be relocating to I-10 and De Zavala. My wife will be working at 410 and 151.

I was just wondering, if anyone is familiar with the area could let me know how traffic is on I-10 west bound around the 5-5:30 rush hour. I have been east bound in the morning and it seemed fine.

Thanks!

I have traveled this several times.

In my opinion, the most hectic part of the drive is the merging from 151 to 410 west. There are people trying to get on and people trying to move over to the Culebra exit. After that it opens up. The exit to 10 is slow, but it doesn't necessarily bottleneck. It's those trying to get from the far lanes on 10 over to the Medical exit that slows things down. It opens up right after that until you hit the Da Zavala exit.

It does average the 25-30 minutes though. It's not a horrible drive though. It's normal San Antonio traffic, nothing like 35 or 281/35 in the downtown area.

I was talking about bottle necking when you are on 10 going to 410. Medical has 2 on ramps right before the 410 ramp

Then I misread it. Traffic also gets rough when you hit that spot past Culebra near Military where it goes down one lane. That's the part I hate about that drive.
