I don't understand the point of this story. Was it to expose wasteful spending? Because I don't think it's that wasteful. I notice the trees under 410 at 10 as well as those under 410 at 37. I always thought it was nice. But maybe a dry patch of brown grass is better o save money.

this was just another shining example of crappy filler reports. If they really wanted to talk about something newsworthy, how about the topic of the latest election turnout?

I guess this story will appeal to those who see it as wasteful, so they can know whose tax dollars are being "wasted."

Maybe those people were blaming the mayor and council and this story was meant to absolve local pols from blame?

Yes, they try to use native plants to minimize the amount of maintenance required.

I agree, the story is unremarkable, why don't they do a story about who pays for highway building.....lol, it would be just as stupid.

Besides, it looks nice...as a previous poster..... much better than a patch of brown weeds or worse, a concrete pad.

Just a guess, but I would stay the State pays for it.
