Paka, I don't know about you, but West, Northwest, and Northeast traffic is getting worse every month! Maybe it's just the cars that are multiplying exponentially!

Did you know that 58.3% of all statistics are made up? At least that's what it said on the back of my wetnap package.

Dang, Russ beat me to the punch.

Don't get too excited. San Antonio is number 11 based on the criteria they used (metro areas over 1 mil): 13.5% growth in the metro area from 2000-2006.

Well, if this is using raw numbers, then SA isn't up there. It actually is not even in the top five. From 2000-2006, SA grew by 152,036 people.

By percent no the first city over a million on the percent list is Phoenix at 41 we are a close second at 48. Number three by raw numbers.

I'm not sure what the 152,000 number represent but in terms of raw numbers yearly, SA is in the top 3. In terms of raw city growth since 1990, SA is top 5, since 2000 SA is top 5 as well.

I'll take it that is the city population number because it sure as heck isn't the metropolitan number.

The link you posted is the 2000-2003 numbers. But they still make the point. Here is the 2003-2004 numbers:

City Mayors: US cities population 2005

Trae/Guerilla knows all this already I'm sure. I just take it the Houston section of this forum is slow and boring for his tastes.

That is how fast SA has grown from 2000-2006. I am using raw numbers.

The city population, correct? SA is top 5 in that category. Behind places like New York, LA and Phoenix.

It is behind Houston, Phoenix, and LA (so far, I haven't checked other cities raw numbers). NYC actually didn't gain that much.
