What are the fastest growing areas in San Antonio?

If you draw a line from I-10 on the east and 90 on the westside, anything north of that line is where the growth is.

Is the area around Schertz still growing?

Yes. Although Schertz growth is now happening along the 78 and I-10 corridor. Along I-35 the growth has moved to Cibolo.

Just past Schertz in Cibolo, all along FM 1103, is cookie cutter heaven.

I read something somewhere that the far west side of San Antonio is growing the fastest. From Hwy 90 West at 1604 northward to Potranco and on to Culebra/FM 471 and then west of 1604 to the Medina County line. Northside ISD will be opening its 3rd high school just in that particular area by August of 2017. Taft, Brennan and new Harlan High are all fairly close to one another outside of Loop 1604 but with so many houses being built in that area, the boundary lines for schools are ever changing.

Oh yeah ,the Schertz and Cibolo area is growing.Some builder wants to put a subdivison behind Steele HS but a concern is how people are going to get in an out of it. For right now they would have to use the side drive between Steele and the Church. In our purchasing meeting Monday, our director showed us a map of all the land platted for development.One developer wants to expand the already existing subdivison.They also want to build at least three apartment complexes in the area.One is called Silverfin and would go across from Steele HS. This we all guessed from the name might be for senior citizens. Matt our director made the comment that the district might have to float a bond to and another school or two. Eventually we may have to have a third highschool if things keep going the way they are. Our secretary asked about the new HEB that was supposed to go in Cibolo and Matt said they were waiting to see how things go with the new Walmart that opend up. He also mentioned about business growth,how the district likes when businesses come in. I guess they pay more in taxes ,or whatever the deal is. I'm almost 60 and live in an older home,so my property taxes are lower than some of these people.

I wonder if this is helping to drive the upcoming road work on Fm1103 (more lanes). I looked at several places along 1103 four or five years ago and decided I didn't want to be in that area when they finally got around to building the road to accommodate all the new housing.

I live outside the 1604 loop next to FM 1560 close to the AR area. I built my house here in 2012, and since then, hundreds of more houses have been built here. Sometimes I think it was a bad idea because of the extra traffic. I think it's best to but where everything is there already

I know I've been part of that traffic on that road to avoid the construction on 1604. Perhaps it will calm down a bit on that particular stretch once the overpasses are complete.
