I've never heard of this place until today. It looks really nice.

Chris Park a place of beauty, contemplation and joy a rhythmic layout of lush foliage, inviting walkways, areas of repose, sites of play, and encounters with contemporary art.

Thanks Silver Creek 78250--I followed a link on your blog to Views of Texas, and he had a story about Chris Park--so I jacked it for here.

It is a really lovely space across the street from an old candy factory that has been transformed into some pretty swanky urban lofts called Campstreet. Chris was the son of Linda Pace and she lived in the lofts. She erected the park in memory of her son. She died of breast cancer a few years ago. She was very involved in the art community... Pace Art Space downtown. Her family owned Pace Picante. At night a constellation lights up... have not seen it at night but it is very beautiful with rare plant life.

Thanks for the hat tip! Kieth over at Views of Texas has some awesome photos.

That Chris Park is a beautiful place. If you enjoy peaceful locations for just walking around and enjoying a nice day, I also suggest taking a trip over to Lourdes Grotto. No need to make it a religious event/experience if that isn't your thing. It is just a nice place for a walk.

San Antonio is loaded with great places to visit.
