Saw that the Carino's on Blanco and 1604 is kaput. Not surprising as the last two visits demonstrated kitchen and server incompetence. Too bad.

Looks like Blanco BBQ will be opening on July 8, wish them well this spot on blanco has seen many and I mean many different types of food.

Mencius - their web page says they are still closed. This seems like a long time for repairs. So are they belly up?

Walked into the Dunkin Donuts on Nacogdoches and the owner told me it was opening on the 9th of July and he is trying to open 3 more in the north central area...stoneoak-ish area

This is exactly what happened with Taipei in Stone Oak after their fire. Not sure if these restaurants are still affiliated with each other but it took the SO location over a year to reopen. I guess they used the fire as an excuse to simply remodel the entire restaurant. Mencius may be doing the same thing.
