Hello everyone 🙃 i just got here from Uvalde, Texas...probably the worst place i have ever lived in and the one place i will avoid with my dear life! it feels great to get back to civilization once again and just maybe within a year i will be heading back to Los Angrles, my home town. i hate the climate here and will never get used to it. i love the nature Texas has to offer but that is all i like here in Texas ohh and it's nice clean air. I miss everything about L.A , the real Mexican food and NOT TEX-WAKALA food! The music and i do hate TEJANO and it's 3 rithyms for all songs 😂! i can not stand people not speaking proper English and here i hear it and see it all around me, starting with BEXAR county being improperly pronounced ( BEAR COUNTY) O.M.G! REALLY?

I hear ya, brother! You think that's bad, go to LA and listen to the Latino's over there butcher pronunciation!! So, do us a favor when you get back - go to the middle of the Barrio and tell 'em to speak English!

(go ahead - we'll wait over here clear of the blood spatter......)

Lol! I was in LA last weekend and every other radio station was a form of music from Mexico.

San Antonio is full, you should move to Austin if you want to hear more proper English by your fellow Californians that moved there. There are plenty of non-proper English/Spanish speakers here in San Antonio.

I enjoy visiting LA but not more for than 3-4 days at a time. I'd hate to live in what's known as the most stressful city in the country. Extremely high cost of living, worst traffic in the country, polluted air. There's a reason why so many Californians are moving to Texas and not vice versa. A friend from LA also told me that their Mexican food is overrated, and the best they have to offer is slightly better than Torchy's Tacos. He said that SA's top Mexican food places are much better.

Not sure what Bexar and other unusually pronounced Texas cities/counties (which are based on last names) have to do with speaking proper English. How do think Bexar should be pronounced, like Pixar? You should learn better spelling and grammar before you criticize someone's English.

I wouldn't want to live in Uvalde either, but with the stuff you're whining about I'm surprised you even lasted a week there.

Uvalde > San Antonio
Tejanos > California Mexicans
Tex mex > Mexico food

Also, I would prefer to hear Spanish spoken as opposed to Chinese.

I can understand where you are coming from, though. Maybe if you are near my age we can hang out and I can show you it ain't so bad after all.

You didn't need to say you were from Socal, I bet most of us could tell by the completely snobby post. You made a thread that does absolutely nothing buy bi*** /complain. You gripe about "proper English", yet after one read, I got about a dozen mistakes in your little post. You complain about "Bexar not being spelled (the way you think it should be), bear". Could you really not figure out that its originally a Spanish name? Chill the F out, Grow the F up, and feel free to go the F on. This is by far the quickest I have ever put anyone on my ignore list.
