Meh, I don't want anyone that's not from my party in charge of anything. They've gone absolutely insane and they don't deserve my vote. If just one of them would stand up and call out their fellow politicians' insanity, I would consider each of them on their own merits as I have in the past. I can't do it this year.

Then you're in luck. This is the last election you'll have it. In 2020, no more straight ticket voting in Texas. Legislature passed it in 2017 and Governor signed it.

...which is why judges should not be affiliated with one party or another.

No I wont, at least not fully. there will still be R and D after candidates names.
