On a visit to San Antonio last week, my husband had harrowing dental emergency. Luckily, my brother has dental practice there.

He won't let me pay him for what the services he performed beyond what our insurance paid. And the services were quite expensive, no doubt.

I want to send a nice gift for his entire office, but I am only finding very ordinary things of which I can make myself and mail. I offered to buy the office lunch, but he won't even let me do that.

I don't want to say, "money is no object" because it is to us. However, I really want to go the extra mile here.

Suggestions are welcome.

TIA

Perhaps a nice catered lunch, or gift cards from a nice local restaurant for those you wish to thank, so they could take their spouses one evening? There are some excellent local, non-chain steak houses (such as the Barn Door).

I agree with Redneck, a catered lunch. However, this time, don't ask for approval but make it a surprise. Courteous people typically decline gifts of appreciation, so don't ask, just do it.

If you went with something like one of the Brazilian steakhouses then people can mange on a variety of meats and seafood.

Gift certificate to Central Market, to get either a set up (which they do) or to buy what he likes for all.

I already suggested the catered lunch and they said no. I think I will revisit it again.

Thanks, you guys.
