Just got back from HEB Plus and I wanted to let everyone know that the Cowboy burgers are on sale. They are in packages of 2 and the price is less than 5 bucks but with a coupon that knocks off 2.50 at the register. We picked up two packs, (4 patties) but the lady said that there is no limit. I just really didn't want to freeze any extras. (would be a waist) This is just a friendly heads up. Heck, the cooking connection part is sampling them in case you are curious.

Just stopped by the HEB Plus on Blanco and I was pleasantly surprised when the lady behind the counter told me that the cowboy burgers and ground beef were on sale for 99 cents a pound because they were putting everything away for the night. I pretty much cleaned them out: 7 burgers (3.5 pounds total) and 2 pounds of grass-fed ground beef (normally $5.99/lb) for a total of $5.50!

man.. wish the Potranco HEB+ was doing that. I did get the half off Cowboy burgers though. Hopefully they taste as good as I've heard they do. I did put mine in the freezer though, because I won't get a chance to eat them until Sunday at the earliest

well duh on the filling part

they're freaking massive and over 1/2 pound each.. hopefully freezing them won't take away any of the taste, but it's better than having them rot

Is this a week-long special? I hope so.....I'd love to try them, but the regular price is a little bit high!

Ryan, do you have a seal-a-meal I could borrow? I figured you went and got one after your last Cowboy burger incident.

speaking of sealers.. HEB has a meal deal where you can get the Reynolds handy-vac sealer thing for free. Well, you have to buy a brisket that's $25-35, but that's always worth the money.. I always wanted to try one, but the price was never right. Hopefully it works good.
