I have a 97 for my old place in Manhattan...talk about walkers paradise. I wonder how one would score 100? I had everything (except the beach) within walking distance.

Actually, Tobin Hill gets an 85.

Downtown SA scores 98, which makes it one of the most walkable parts of the country.

It seems like for a neighborhood to be walkable it should have side walks- do you guys know of any neighborhoods that are have nice side walks...and places to walk to?

We were thinking of buying in Alamo Heights district, but when in town this last week all of the homes shown to us lacked curb/gutter/sidewalk.

Any ideas?
