Well, luckily we have a cushion as well, but I do feel for the ones that don't--and if things keep up our cushion may turn into a sliver. I guess there should be no complaints, we do have a home, vehicles, cable, and food on the table--with a/c and running water!

Again, I think our cost of living has gone up--but you don't have to agree.

my SAWS bill didn't go up sapph. Have you checked all your toilets for leaks? Everything else appears to be going up and that is annoying. It could be much worse, though. We could be in miami or some other craptastic city like that.

Yeah, we checked for leaks that first month. Nada.

Why do you say Miami is craptastic--economy or aesthetics or what? I've cruised out of there, and I thought it was pretty. Granted, we didn't spend much time there, so.........

I'm a florida hater, but I also used to live there. Heat, mega humidity, and bugs bigger than small kids is definitely not my cup of tea

My wife keeps me informed on the ever rising cost of food. Our food and gas budgets are the ones going up the most on a % basis. Utilities and water have actually been less than budgeted.

Nicer clothing has gone down in price, so has electronics (more than usual). Especially if you shop online.

Restaurants, cable tv, movie theatres have definitely been raising prices. Same goes with prices for homes, and rent.

Prices of cars have also risen. You can no longer buy a new civic for 11k, nor can you buy a fit.

No real pinch other than the gas factor.

My mom mentioned to me that their water bill went from $35 to $80. They use BexarMet, so I don't know if that's much different from SAWS. I also took over paying for their CPS bill and have noticed a significant rise in the rate. Good grief! Their house is only 1100 sq ft, they have only one window unit and are at my brother's three days a week, but their CPS bill was almost $200.

I forgot to say, you would think my parents had the lushest lawn in their neighborhood, but, it's just as dead brown as everyone else's.
