My anniversary with my S/O is coming up. Actually, it's next Tuesday and I havent even begun planning anything. We agreed that I would take care of everything.....but I dont know where to begin!!
I'm also on a VERY tight budget....which isn't the best of things to work with in this situation.
I'm thinking that dinner would be the most expensive part of our day together....but where?
Also, what should I plan throughout the day?
We both love brac....but what things could we do (without dying of a heat stroke) besides a picnic or laying in the shade?

Any help would be appreciated.

The heat's not so bad outdoors at sunset. How about an evening picnic in a place with a view of the sunset and food that you prepare yourself? If you can swing something more for the food, maybe some carryout entrees and side dishes from Central Market would liven up your picnic?

I think the Witte museum is free on Tuesdays. You can also check the Current for some other free activities. I bet she would love a home cooked meal with a few candles.

If you decided on a picnic at Breckenridge and needed something to pick up I would recommend Augies. Its close, reasonable, and super yummy! Here is a link to their site - Untitled Document (http://www.augiesbarbedwiresmokehouse.com/index1.htm - broken link)

Afterwards you can take a walk at the Chinese gardens. Sounds romantic to me!

I forgot to recommend a nice restaurant for dinner. My recommendation would be Piccolos Italiano Restaurant. Its a bit pricey but the portions are large and the food is out of this world! Its located at 410 and evers outside the loop.

what about something more intimate- buy some chocolate, nice wine and strawberries, light some candles and give a nice massage, write a love note telling her/him what made you fall in love with her/him. Make a CD with all of your favorite songs- including one that played when you had your first dance togther. Good luck!

Sometimes, going back to that first meeting, if you can, recreate it as much as possible. might be corny, but, remember, it worked the first time.
