I would say that most of the military families assigned to Lackland AFB live in northwest San Antonio. This would go north from Highway 90 and west of Loop 410. If you want to narrow it even more, then Potranco and Loop 1604 going north and west along Loop 1604 up to I10. There are many new housing developments with numerous builders in this large area and prices range from 100's up to $300's-plus. Use the search function on this forum to find posts about this area (start with Loop 1604).

Good Luck in your move.

The great Northwest neighborhood is a great place to live. It is 12 miles from the base with easy access to hwy 151 and loop 410 to take you to the base in less than 20 minutes. I have a house on the market right now. I retire and move at the end of October. Check out the childrens organized sports, two swimming pools, tennis, basket ball, soccer, etc.

The OP only posted once and it was 10 months ago...I seriously doubt that they are following this thread any longer.

Maybe she just didn't trust Steel Man, or she's still trying to work the search feature. You never know.

If your house is on the market, you can have it listed for free in Passages, the association paper.

We just pcsed (moved) to Lackland the end of August. We live off 1604 & Potranco in the WestCreek subdivison. Are you looking to buy or rent? You will have a good selection whichever you choose. Nice area, takes about 15mins to get to Lackland. However, on Thursdays and Fridays, traffic is a mess getting onto base. They have graduation every Friday. Where are you coming from?
