TexHwyMan hasn't updated in a while and I need my "fix"!

1) Any news on the western segment of 1604 improvements?
-is it FOR SURE starting later this year? or is that kind of a guestimate?
(western segment meaning Military/151 to I-10 of the new toll road)

2) More of a comment than a question: the Bandera/410 interchange is coming up nicely, can I get an amen? I can't wait to drive on that thing!
which brings me to
3) Bandera Freeway- any news?

4) I always drive by that sign on West (and there's another on Nakoma) that says "Proposed Wurzbach Parkway" with arrows and such and I wonder.... when are they going to finish that thing? anyone?

now for the more random questions:
5) any news on 211? and
6) I heard something a while back about putting a toll overpass/freeway thing on I-35 to add additional lanes to I-35. Like it would be double decked like I-10, but ALL of 35 and the bottom would be the 6 lanes that are already there and the top would be 6-8 addional lanes and would be tolled..... Anyone know anything about this?

Well, I am not as reliable as txhwyman, but I can tell you one thing...

We are working on a road that will go from 1516, Alamo Ranch PKWY, all the way to Groshenbacker Rd. Although it wont be a long strait road, its going to be like Millitary/WW White sorta like that.

Then after that Talley Rd Might Expand to two lanes on each side!

and Its been rumored that Potranco was going to expand outside the loop all the way to or past Talley!

thats all I got.

svg210,

Did you mean 1560 that turns into Alamo Parkway? This road currently ends before Wiseman Blvd. How long will it take to complete the extension to Grosenbacher Road? Thanks for the update!

Sorry! Been super busy lately, so I have to sneak this in during my lunch hour.

The latest report from ARMA is rather disheartening-- as of now, it looks like it'll be 2016 or 2017 before the Loop 1604 projects from Military Dr. West to NW Military Hwy are done.

Amen! It is still on schedule to be completed later this year.

3) Bandera Freeway- any news?
Nope, and there won't be for at least another year or two. The RMA is putting all the options through the environmental process right now.

It's still on the drawing board. In fact, I think it was on the list of projects that could be funded under the Obama stimulus package.

TxDOT is working on the final schematics for long-term plans for 211, but I haven't heard any updates on building the missing section. Last I heard, they had about half of the funding for it lined-up.

I haven't heard that. The only plan for I-35 that I'm aware of would put tolled express lanes in between the existing toll-free lanes (like is proposed for 1604 North). But that's just a proposal and is very long-term.

That'll be nice! Will be a great bypass for 1604.

Yes, that's on TxDOT's plans.

Page 12 of this PDF. Sorry. (I live off of Braun, so I'm disappointed, too.)

No, It doesnt (for now) from alamo ranch keep going strait after those two stop signs. After about 1/2 mile you will see a street to the left called cotton wood bay. You can only turn left there. After that it will end at wiseman for now.

Our production is going down for the next couple of days because the contractor (Legencey Sitework) only has four men working there while were there. They guide and coordinate the load dumps. After were done dumping a six man crew comes in and Cotton Wood bay will eventually "Y" up with Alamo Ranch. Alamo Ranch will continue to get Expanded, but that job belongs to Statewide Transport(their production is slow) so we might out bid them for it.

After A.R. goes through wiseman it will meet with CWB and from there on will be Groshenbacker. Legencey says by the end of the summer we should hit Millitary.

Guys, any word if the alamo ranch has expanded to wiseman yet? I honestly do not drive by there but would like to use that route to get my son to soccer practice. Also, I was looking on a maps (google and yahoo maps) and saw a street called Cottonwood Way, (SVG210 mentioned Cottonwood Bay) is this the street that currently hooks up with Wiseman. Just trying to avoid 1604 and Culebra at 17:30.
