Those that follow the weather thread know that we are having a party-picnic at Starke Park in Seguin Saturday, October 17, 2009. That's next weekend (not this weekend). Time is noon till we get tired of each other. I am making this a new thread because we want to invite other parties that might be interested in meeting San Antonio C-Der.

I'll bring some bar-b-q, everyone else bring something. I didn't get a drinking license ($15). If you think we need it, I look into it. I will have a white sign posted near our picnic table by the river.

For directions, look up map of Starke Park in Seguin on Mapquest or any other map.

PLEASE TYPE IN THIS POST AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE THERE. iF IT IS A RAINY DAY, WE WILL RFESET TILL LATER.

By the way, needsomeinfo won the contest with 59 as a guess.

Hope to see you there. gy2020

I think we're going to make it. Are there descent potty's close by? I am that age ya know. ha ha.
I'm hope we get some nice cool ( dry) weather for that day.

If we decide to slip a beer ( just one) into a cup think it will be OK? I have already had my quota for this year but ya never know when the urge may strike! It's OK if not.

Maybe we could see a show of hands for whos not coming?? I want a good excuse from each and every one of you!. I'm giving up a camping trip for this to meet some of you guys!!

Camper1, you have a beer quota?!? Does the state think you take more than your share?? :P

I'll see if the wife/kids want to go - I don't know if we have plans then or not!

EDIT - same day as the WC Safety Day, we'll be there part of the day at least....

Here is a pic and and video:

Here are the pic and video of Starke Park. There is a river (Guadalupe River), picnic tables, golf course, and across the road-swimming pool and minature golf course. I'm sure you will find rest rooms near golf course office and swimming pool.

I've been going to Starke Park since 1945. It is a really nice city park. Best directions would be to drive out I-10 to Seguin and take 123 business to town square. Stay on same road past the city and the 123 business will take you to the park. Exit before going over the bridge. The exit will take you into the parking lot of the golf course, just continue driving and it will lead to a road that parallels the river. There are benches and tables all along the river bank. I will get there around 10 am and try to get the first table available. I will then set up a sign that shows our place. SEE YA THERE!!

Isn't the county fair this weekend too? Just be careful with the crowds y'all. That's not sarcasm. Seguin can get pretty crowded.

If the fair is this weekend we should be OK. The meet and greet is the following weekend, the 17th.
