I've got an early appt. at BAMC. I LOVE the thrift store over at Lackland - is there one like that (or along those lines) over at the other base? I can't find anything online.
Thanks in advance

there used to be a thrift store at Ft. Sam --- my dad and uncle went every wednesday --- my dad said they made it a closed base so he and my uncle could no longer get on the property to go to the store --- but it may still be open for military folks...

bummer...I finally found a number for the family support ctr. at ft. sam. Thrift store closed what a drag. Oh well. At least Lackland still has a great one! I'm pretty sure your Dad could still get to the one on Lackland if he was interested.

thanks, i'll let him know about that --- my dad and uncle just crack me up with all their little thrift store/goodwill shopping sprees...they love nothing more than finding something for a dollar with tags still hanging on it --- they will show it to everyone they know and brag about their finds...

Texas thrift on i-35 between Walzem & Eisenhower is pretty good - Monday's is .99 day for color of the day.

The good will on austin hwy is good too sometimes.

Not on base but close to it.

Also for texas thrift - tuesdays is senior day and they get 30% off everything in the store. I always take my mom and use her discount - they don't have a issue with it.
