wouldn't be surprised. All the professional welfare cases feel entitled to live anywhere they want in the city and they have a lot of support from an overabundance of ignorant people..

Wow. Okay. Let's just put all the section 8 housing in one place then. So everything goes down the tubes for one area. Sorry y'all that's just not the way it works. There's section 8 all over the city, not just the inner city. You'd be surprised where section 8 is. I was reading Clark teachers struggle to reach refugees (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/Clark_High_struggles_to_teach_African_refugees.htm l - broken link) article and was surprised to hear that there were so many section 8 areas in my area. I've had this argument with several posters before, but you make it what it is.

there are people with legitimate immediate needs, but most of the people are professional welfare cases and it goes back generations. It is not fair to have your property values destroyed because some socialist pig politician things things should be spread even. If you want that, go to freaking Europe. I'll take pictures of it when I'm over there in a couple months.

Yes, THEIR area. The ones who don't take care of ANYTHING because they've not had to work for it. The ones down on their luck should use that as motivation to better their situation. Why is it that the rest of us don't live in squalor? Because we WOULDN'T, that's why.

It's not poor people. It's people who are given a place to live and they don't take care of it. Poor people are not the same as pigs. They can and often are mutually exclusive.

You yourself live in a not-so-desirable area--you've said so yourself. But what are you doing? You're on here asking for landscaping advice to make your surroundings better. Go you. And yes, I know you are a homeowner, and you care, but surely you live amongst section 8 people who just don't care. Maybe what you do will rub off on them, but it's not likely.

And the person I quoted is not even a property owner yet. It's different when you live with the folks than it is when you buy your own house.
