4 large mail flyers in two weeks. Fiscal conservative? I think not. Stop sending me JUNK!

What's worse is it appeared to be the same flyer all 4 times, too. I had picked one up at a candidates forum before the mailings started. If only I'd known I'd be getting so many copies of it in the mail!

I just fear that with so much money to spend on billboards, signs and mailings, she's being bankrolled by developers. That means anything that anyone wants to build in District 9 will sail right through if she gets in.

What a silly post. Developers don't get "anything they want". That's just not true, and it's irresponsible and insulting to the people who serve this city on council (or planning commission, or zoning commission, etc.) for you to suggest otherwise. Frankly, you sound like a paranoid conspiracy theorist.

Individual donations to council members are limited to $500 every election cycle. Do you really think developers can "buy" a vote for $250/year? Wait....let me guess....it's a city-wide cabal run by the ruthless & greedy developers....and everyone who works in the real estate industry in SA is in on it....cue eye-rolling emoticon....all to screw over the rest of the citizens in SA.....

Last, and most obvious: this post isn't political?

Idunno... she's got this billboard that I keep seeing near Huebner Rd. And billboards rarely lead you in the wrong direction.

ummm, pretty much every politician in this city is major league corrupt, so why would any of them follow laws?

Local politics is fine to discuss here. National politics is off topic.

I'm leaving the rest of your post intact, but I'd appreciate it if you don't presume to speak for me again. I have first hand experience with how decisions on development issues are made at City Hall and District 9 and my post reflects my fear based on what I observed during that experience.

In all seriousness, that's... 3 out of the 4 now that I get an ominous feeling for?

Elisa Chan's not one of the 4 major candidates running for mayor, she's one of 3 running for council in District 9. The other two are Weston Martinez and William Davidson. You live in District 9, so you get to vote on this race.

Oops. What kind of city council person has the cash for billboards? I figured she had to be running for mayor for sure.

When are elections... might need to get that done before heading back to the PNW for a while next week.
