I know I sound like a bookworm for asking this, but I found a book that is uber rare and I used http://www.worldcat.org/ to search for it and got a hit at Palo Alto college. Amazon had it, but cheapest is $100.

So, is that library open to non-students? Anyone go there or know?

You can go read it there but they won't sell it to you.

I am pretty sure you have to be a student.

Unless you attend any ACCD school you should be able to, or if you attend TAMUK SA you should be able to.

If you are a student at any Texas university/college, check with your library. Most in the state have a text-share program which will allow you to check out books at other universities under your university's enrollment.

No no...I am not a student. I am a lowly citizen of SA that wants to read a book at the Palo Alto library. It's okay, I will try and find it online for a cheap price. Thanks guys.

Well folks, I just drove over there and asked them really nicely if I could check out a book. They were delighted and said I just needed to show a driver's license. Apparently not many peeps check out books these days...it was really slow in there. Huge library, just saw one student.

Man I felt old walking through that campus...I'm pushing 30 soon. When I asked for directions to the library, one student called me "sir". Nooooooo..not yet!!
Everyone looks real small and I'm just 5'10 (or 5'11). Anyone get that feeling? Been a while since I've had a reason to go to a college campus.
