Hello all. I've got family in San Antonio. I've visited SA several times and I'm really digging Texas. My wife and I want to relocate there. We are in our mid 30s and have a young toddler. We are looking for the safest and most desirable neighborhoods with great schools for our kid as we're are already planning on having another one. Most of my family lives on the North side, and they tell me that the North side has the best of everything, but I have one aunt who says the North East is better. What says you?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, if you can give us more basic info like where you will be working, we'll be able to help you out more. Despite what you may've heard, San Antonio is a big city with a lot of sprawl. You may be up to an hour-long commute, but many people aren't, so an idea of what part of the city you'll be working in will help us pinpoint nice 'hoods in that area.

I'm self-employed actually, so I can pretty much go anywhere. But all my family stays on the North side, so I guess I'd like to be close to them.

Live North East or North I-35 outside San Antonio. Garden Ridge, Schertz or Cibolo

just drive the areas yourself and pick what you like in the price range you can afford. everyone will always say that their neighborhood is the best.
