I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with this area, I was looking at a house here online. Is this a safe area or average or bad? The crime index puts it towards the middle or a little higher than middle. Also it says that the White population is 29,936, African American is 1,621 and Hispanic is 16,603. Is that representative of San Antonio as a whole, or is that just that area of Bexar County? Thanks for the help you guys have given me so far.

That "Hispanic" number should be higher and the "White" number lower. African-American is a very low number here.

Is that in Colonies North? Colonies North is on the upswing. Lots of families are moving back over there. If i remember correctly, a few months ago it was named as one of the fastest selling neighborhoods in town. While there are some spotty areas (I'm talking street by street) in that little area of Wurzbach and Vance Jackson, all in all that part of town is pretty good. If you have kids they'll be going to good schools and you're very close to shopping, churches, and entertainment.

As a whole, that area is probably a bit more white then San Antonio as a whole. But, as diverse as the city is a whole, you don't have to go far for diversity or stay in that neck of the woods to stay away from it either.
