We have narrowed it down to these two restaurants. Does anyone have a recommendation between the two?

Bohanan's is really cool. Nice atmosphere that overlooks Houston street. Ask for a window seat and that'll put you right across the Majestic Theater on the second floor.

Now, the cheapest steak I believe is a filet at $95. Side items are ala carte so they don't come with the steak. Just making sure you are aware of this. I think cost will be about $150 per person.

Paying such a high price for a steak is not for everyone, but it was the best steak I had ever tasted. Dress attire is casual business with some people in suits.

Congrats on the anniversary! You made it this far...

If you're not keen on spending a good chunk of change on a steak, Bohanan's also has some very decently priced meals that make going well worth it. I had a great time going a few weeks ago on a date with the GF and chose the lamb tenderloin and she had grilled shrimp. Our food was spectacular, and the atmosphere was amazing.

My husband and I recently ate at Bohanan's and spent about $40 on a filet. They do have a specific type of beef called Akaushi which will run you about $95 per steak. I would choose Bohanan's over the Vineyard. The food and service are outstanding. You can even call and let them know it's your anniversary and they should do something nice for you. The table next to us was celebrating their anniversary and their table was covered in rose petals. It was really nice! Happy anniversary!!

Bohanans. Tell them it's a special occasion and they'll do something nice. They won't however bring all the staff together for a sing along. The mac and cheese is awesome. But i liked the mashed potatoes. They bring the steaks for you to choose. I mean where else can you get that. The bar dowstairs is super fancy. You will surely have a great time. Oh yeah there's other stuff besides steak, but why would u want that jk

I'm personally a big fan of Vineyards (had my wedding rehearsal dinner there 5 yrs ago and we go back a few times/yr). They're very personable too, the setting is very low key and romantic. Call ahead and ask for something special for the occasion.

I don't thing you can compare the quality of food at those 2. Bohanans is better than the Vineyards, but it is just a steak house.
