I survived on years making somewhere in the realm of 12k/yr. I think you'll be ok, if you can deal with being broke :-)

haha, yea right now i live in ny and make 17k. I do alright and i dont mind cutting corners at all. I will be working full-time in c.a.

i tried to make a list of all my anticipated bills, being generous , and came to about 2800/mo. turns out to be 33600/yr. considering ill be working in a school, and will have the summer off (so i can bring in extra income during this time if i need to), this seems to sound like it will work out alright.

(rent, utilitles, phone, internet, school loans, car payment/insurance, food, gas) are there any other things that i might be leaving out?

Also, Im not sure what utils run on average for a 1 bdrm apt. Any numbers anyone can throw my way would be great. Thanks!
