Nah, Minnesotans should be able to handle the cold. There's no retractable roof in Green Bay or Chicago.

I just read this yesterday and the wheels on the bus go round and round.

"Fabiani says the deal also seems to be a good one for the chargers stadium search. He says the deal will replenish the G3 fund. Established by the NFL, the fund allocates dollars for teams trying to build new stadiums in their communities. Having already helped fund numerous stadiums across the country the G3 needed a shot in the arm.
And it appears this new deal will do that. Fabiani told San Diego 6, "a lot of owners around the league have become aware now of how tough it is to get anything done in Calfiornia "

For that reason, Fabiani says it's conceivable the Chargers could get between 100 and 200 million dollars from the fund for a state-of-the-art facility downtown."

NFL Stadium In L.A.: City Officials Reveal Tentative Financing Plan - SBNation.com

Looks like they may get their stadium

Seriously. I'll believe the NFL will do it when we see it. They want free land right? Who will be the suckers picking up the tab for the other 500 million?

Now it's just a matter of finding a team to move into the new stadium in five years.
I will be happy to help the Chargers pack.

Go Chargers, go!

Maybe the chargers should play at petco park if they wanna leave the Q. I think they are better off having one team in LA. Herm Edwards said one time on some espn show that the NFL needs Los Angeles. Last time I checked the leagues been doing good with no LA teams lol

What it might cost for Chargers to play in L.A. - SignOnSanDiego.com
Interesting article presenting some pros and cons.
1. The Chargers would bring in twice as much as they do simply by moving?
2. Where would we get someone dumb enough to shell out 600 million + in private funding with a return of 24 million each year?

In closing, here's something I shared on Twitter Tuesday about California's NFL stadium plans:

A) L.A. $1.2b, all private

B) City of Industry $800m, all private

C) Santa Clara $873m, 88% private

D) San Diego ???

They can go, the sooner the better. Well, I do not care too much for team sports find them a lot less compelling than individual competition.

And a large percentage of the people who are "football fans", well........I do not find them very agreeable. "You are wearing the opposing teams clothing............why, I'll kick your *ss!!!!!!"

Kinder Morgan has fuel terminals that are sitting northeast from the property. I believe a large MTBE gasoline plume is located on the property.
