Anyone going? Trying to figure out where the best place to park is that will give me the best view but be the least crowded. Anyone have a spot to recommend?

We were on the broadway pier but it took a long time to get going and my son got bored. So I missed the big flyover :-(

I saw it right here in Kensington - all I can say is: WOW!!!
The whole sky was filled with aircraft in formation, accompanied by a deep, steady rumble - it put me in mind of what D-Day must have felt like. Impressive!

We saw a lot of it from the patio at Petco Park (Padres Fan Fest was today too) and then some more from the Santa Fe Depot patio while waiting for the northbound Coaster to leave. It was pretty cool, but there seemed to be a lot of waiting in between flights. Lots of down time is not a good thing when you have a fidgety 7 yr old.

It was practically overhead here in Talmadge. It was a slow, loud rumble - and very cool.

We watched it from the deck of the USS Midway. The entire event was narrated over a sound system by some very smart plane enthusiasts. They also filled in the time gaps very nicely. The live band was good too.

Hot sun, no shade, 3-5 minutes between planes and a fidgety 2.5 yr old = had to leave before the big squadron flew over :-(

We were at the naval base and the show was great.

However the marks for execution for the entire even I have to say was a solid F.

There was a lack of food stalls for all those at the event (lines were literally 1.5 hours just to get Pizza, burgers or a snow cone!). Only a single stall for each type of food. They also ran out of food.

- Getting out of the base after the event took us 2 hours (that's out of the base ... not out of Coranado!). There was no traffic control going into or out of the base which was a nightmare. Strangely, once out of the base, the traffic was smooth sailing.

Got stuck on 5 South trying to get over to the Coronado bridge. Gave up and headed back to Seaport Village where I found street parking and watched the show from there.
