G'day all,

Recent Australia ex-pat now living in San Diego and absolutely loving the city, weather and culture. However I have a crucial problem regarding the up-coming Rugby Union World Cup hosted in New Zealand, I have no idea where I can go to watch the matches being played.

Does anyone have suggestions for good sports bars? Cable channels? Which might be showing the game?
Also as some of these games will be late night/early morning, places staying open with beers would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Dilemma I know...

Year-Round Coverage of Olympic Sports & Athletes | Universal Sports (http://www.universalsports.com/rugby/rugby-viewing-grid/index.html - broken link)

You will see that NBC and Universal Sports which are free to air will show the semis and finals live but too watch every game live we need to find some where with Direct TV who will allow the remote to be monopolized...

Try The Players Bar maybe worth a call. Let me know what you find out and Go Black.

Cheers

I would say Jimmy O's in Del Mar would be the best place.

I'm have been getting into Rugby recently, and also looking to move to San Diego around Jan '12 (a long time coming, but finally have my ducks in a row, so to speak) and have come to really like the New Zealand All Blacks, still a novice when it comes to the sport but, so far it closing in on becoming my 4th Favorite Sport behind Football, Hockey & Baseball, so Rugby has knocked Basketball down to #5.

Hope you find a good spot to watch!

Bareback Grill in PB is run by Kiwis, they would certainly have the All Blacks on.
