I would like to live in the SD area someday, but I'm not sure if I could afford it. I'm in college right now at UCSC. I'd like to move back to LA, but can't afford it. I was thinking about living in the Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, and La Jolla areas. I understand that they are all expensive, but I don't think they are as much as LA beach areas are they? Do you have any reccommendations for safe, not outrageously expensive beach cities.

Ocean Beach would be the least expensive, but more hippies, homeless, etc. You could find some condos in PB that might work. La Jolla, need a million bucks for a house pretty much Good Luck oh sorry, i was thinkin' you were buying. . .well rental OB the least expensive, then PB ( more fun) , then La Jolla (more upscale and older)

Mission Beach Pacific and Ocean Beaches aren't that expensive as LJ.But gangs and homeless can be a slight problem.
