Hi guys!

I know there are a million housing/apartment threads but i thought I would just ask in case anyone knows off hand real quick...

are there any good apartment buildings in mission beach, pb, la jolla, point loma, beach areas, etc....that have washers and dryers in the unit, spacious kitchens, fitness center/pool, and a decent price... $1600-2000 for a 1 or 2 bedroom with 1 1/2 baths-2?

i know im asking for a lot here...just thought you guys who might have experience living in some of the apartment buildings around town might know some good ones!

thanks!

I have that in carmel valley [minus the spacious kitchen] 2/2 great amenities and under 1500/month.

It's definitely possible to find; wish I could name several to check out off-hand.
The only LJ area one I've been inside, is the new-ish complex adjacent to the 805 on LJ village drive. I cannot remember the name of it off hand, but the trusty google maps should show the name....It was nice, modern, 1 bedroom plus loft, either 1.5 or two baths cannot remember. Nice complex amenities, too. At that time, several years ago, it was brand new and the person paid around $1500 IIRC...

They may even still be building out the entire complex now-since construction has ebbed on and off the last several years.

Also, have you checked Crown Point area specifically? Many nice buildings in that neighborhood and it's generally considered more residential/less party living than PB proper, if that is of interest to you.

Going in a little further north, Del Mar proper/SB/Cardiff are worth checking in the upper end of your price range, especially if a one bedroom works.

Good luck.

Del Mar Villas in Carmel Valley [just off the 56/805] regularly offers private condo rentals-from what I have seen, they are usually 2/2 for 1600-1800/month, on average.

thank you!! @lrmsd--- do you recommend any apt buildings in carmel valley specifically??

we might not even want to live in an apartment complex... we currently live in a very large duplex so the thought of having neighbors on every side is kind of disheartening :/

even in houses you will have neighbors right next to you....best thing is to just find a top level, corner unit...

haha yeah a corner unit top level would work...

our budget has been increased to 1900$, hoping that we can find something close to the beach with that....although i have no idea how to even search for listings by independent landlords, besides craigslist.
